Some Books Recently Received

The rapid growth of aeronautics in the past nine years has caused Professor Warner to divide the second edition of his treatise on aeroplane design into two volumes, of which this is the first. The laconic sub‐title “Performance” docs not suggest how wide is the field covered. All branches of the subject which relate to the steady motion of the aeroplane are touched on. Stability and control and disturbed motion generally are reserved for the second volume yet to be published.
