In response to growing demand from industry for advice on specialist applications of metrology equipment, Mitutoyo has put even more resources into its Special Products Division, which was set up 18 months ago. The division boasts areas of expertise covering optical measuring products, profile measuring instruments, associated software and process control.
Embracing exceptional areas of metrology, including roundness, surface, high-speed laser scanning,two-dimensional geometry and statistical process control, Mitutoyo's Special Products Division now has a team of specialist engineers who have access to the largest range of metrology products available from a single manufacturer. They can offer advice on the specification and application engineering, while having a large pool of back-up personnel for application support and service.
Other support staff provide extensive customer service in the areas of repairs, calibration,comprehensive training and education programmes. Sub-contract measurement services utilising specialist equipment are also available from six Mitutoyo regional centres around the UK.
