Air Wisconsin has placed a follow-on order for five Canadair Regional Jet Series 200LR aircraft with Bombardier Aerospace, increasing to nine the number of CRJ twinjets ordered for the carrier's United Express services from Denver, Colorado.

The contract, valued at approximately US$108 million (Cdn.$165 million), calls for deliveries to begin in the first quarter of 2000 and extend through October 2001. The contract also secures five additional CRJ options for Air Wisconsin.

Air Wisconsin placed an initial order for four Canadair Regional jet aircraft with Bombardier in June 1998. The first two of these were delivered in December, while a third was delivered at the end of January.
