Bombardier Aerospace recently announced that Transport Canada has awarded an Aircraft Type Certificate to the 70-passenger CRJ700 Series regional jet. Type recommendation from Europe's Joint Airworthiness Authorities (JAA) and Type Approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are expected in the near future.
