Failsafe Metering International Ltd believes that it has set a new benchmark for metering, mixing and dispensing equipment with its “Puls- Meter”technology.
Winner of the manufacturing category at the recent Institution of Electrical Engineers “Innovation in Engineering Awards” competition, the“Puls-Meter” is thought to be the first system to quality assure the metering of liquids.
The “Puls-Meter” claims to solve the performance variability problems that have long beset the designer and production engineer using single and two part epoxies, polyurethanes, silicones, acrylics, and polyesters in the aerospace industry.
Traditional pumping, metering and mixing equipment is vulnerable to variations in metered output leading to imprecise ratio mixing and output variation at the point of delivery. Failsafe's “Puls-Meter”reportedly overcomes these problems by using an entirely novel electro-mechanical metering system which meters, mixes, monitors and records the volumetric output of single or multi-part liquids to the most exacting accuracy.
The “Puls-Meter” claims to deliver more in-line benefits too. Based on the idea that the “best machine is no machine” the “Puls-Meter”has far fewer moving parts than conventional metering equipment, cutting costs by reducing component wear and shortening maintenance downtime.
The relatively small and lightweight “Puls-Meter” is ideal for direct mounting onto robotic arms too, delivering all the advantages of “point of application” metering and mixing within the production system.
