This research uses a bibliometric approach assisted by RStudio software.
The research trend in the field of microbiology literacy is a dynamic topic and has experienced an increase in the last 10 years, especially in 2018 and 2021. The United States and India have become centers of high publication productivity.
The database used in this research is Scopus publications, so further development of other types of databases is needed.
Although research on microbiology literacy is well established, there is still room for further development, especially in the focus on health literacy with collaboration involving more countries.
The information in this study helps researchers, educators, and policymakers identify potential areas of further research. In the future, it can become a reference for developing microbiology literacy.
