Purpose

This study aims to explore innovative curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment practices aimed at revolutionizing undergraduate and graduate education to foster lifelong learning skills among learners.

Design/methodology/approach

Utilizing the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses framework for systematic review and thematic analysis, the research objective is to examine the conceptualization of innovative pedagogy across diverse educational contexts. A total of 28 selected articles in the areas of business management and social sciences, published in the SCOPUS database, were extracted and analyzed using thematic analysis.

Findings

The study identifies four key themes: graduate pathway programs, growth mindset, globalization and governance partnerships for social impact, alongside its strategic action plans as fundamental areas for improvement. Each theme encompasses specific pedagogical approaches and strategies tailored to enhance teaching effectiveness and learner engagement.

Originality/value

This study offers a novel contribution by outlining distinct pedagogical methods and tactics designed to improve teaching efficiency and learner involvement, thus paving the way for theoretical progressions in education. By utilizing these findings, educators have the opportunity to establish vibrant learning atmospheres that cater to the varied requirements of learners and equip them for success in the swiftly changing contemporary landscape.
