Classification for news libraries

This must be one of the very few, if not the only talk to be given in this country for a long time on the classification of press cuttings. So I have a large responsibility—almost an impossible one, really, to cover in the time available. I propose therefore to confine myself to certain broad aspects of the subject, the more so since I find that, whenever I sit down to consider news classification, I develop a headache!
