I work for the Inner London Education Authority in a post which deals with co‐ordinating computing developments across the twenty‐eight maintained and aided colleges in the authority. I became the computer liaison officer in December 1983 and had previously been in the ILEA for fourteen months, but before then had no computer background at all.
