This research aims to assess the significance of parental food education on the eating habits of children. It also discusses how parents can provide their children with proper food knowledge.
Qualitative research methods have been utilized in this study, including purposive sampling, to achieve these objectives. Data are collected through semi-structured interviews with various stakeholders. Additionally, social learning and ecological systems theories are applied to gain deeper insights into the situation.
The findings indicate that both traditional and modern food education are essential for parents to ensure the nutritional well-being of their children. Furthermore, the research explores how different socio-economic factors influence this issue and the management of a strict yet healthy lifestyle.
Parents’ dietary habits, nutritional knowledge, and awareness can help protect children from obesity and other food-related diseases, while also educating them about food waste.
