Servitization, digital transformation, and sustainability have gained momentum across industries. This paper synthesizes recent research by exploring the dynamic interplay between these concepts and provides valuable insights for businesses aiming to capitalize on these trends.
The Scientific Procedures and Rationales for Systematic Literature Reviews protocol (SPAR-4-SLR) was used for literature selection. A total of 63 articles published between 2017 and 2022 were considered for review. Descriptive and thematic analyses were conducted to answer predefined review questions.
The study highlights various emerging themes and gaps in literature. Notably, the importance of integrating sustainability aspects has been emphasized, ensuring the long-term effectiveness of the digital servitization framework.
The uniqueness of this systematic literature review relies on exploring the interplay between servitization, digitalization and sustainability and uncovering the unexplored research avenues in the domain of servitization.
