MCB University Press will be launching an Internet Research Register in the field of quality for the year 2000.
Objectives
The aim of the Register will be to facilitate the interchange of worldwide research on the topic of quality. It will include, but not be restricted to, the following aeas of quality research:
TQM
Service quality
Worldwide trends in quality assurance
Benchmarking
IT-driven quality initiatives
The role of innovation in sustaining quality
Learning through quality
Teamwork and empowerment
Energising quality initiatives through creativity
Benefits of registering your research
A research register provides the scholarly community with current awareness of pre-publication information and those involved in various research activities with the potential for further networking. It provides the industrial and corporate communities with early information on new areas for application and development. It also allows the researcher to "stake a claim" on a particular area of research.
Why electronic?
Delivered via the Internet, a research register has functional possibilities not achievable in print format - e.g. it can be "live" in content (i.e. updated on a continuous basis); it can be linked to other forms of content and databases; it is capable of advanced searching but is also browsable; and it is easily accessible.
