The vertical wall breakwaters represent an engineer efficient solution for wave protective constructions of maritime harbours. However, when referring to the concrete caisson breakwater type and a sandy sea bottom, the structure-foundation dynamic interaction would generally bring in the most significant contribution to the structure particular behaviour and its stability. Some interaction aspects have been numerically studied, particularly related to the pore water pressure generation into the breakwater sandy foundation, possibly due to the cyclic action of the incident storm waves.
