The replacement of the bridges forming Bishop's Bridge Road at Paddington is one of the most complicated bridge replacement projects in London. The project is interesting from both a technical and managerial aspect. The aim of this paper is to describe some of the risks involved in the delivery of the Paddington Bridge Project and the methods developed to manage the risks from both a technical and commercial perspective.
