The moisture conditions during curing affects the strength development of concrete. In this study, concretes in three strength levels were subjected to various moisture curing conditions to experimentally investigate the effects of moisture conditions on the water content and strength development of concrete. Curing with a lower relative humidity was found to lead to lower long-term strength gains, but moist curing conditions were found to scarcely affect the water content of high-strength concrete. Based on these results, the authors proposed an Equation for estimating the strength development of concrete in terms of the percentage of cement paste hydration.
