Chapter 2: Introduction

This chapter introduces the unique nature of the construction industry, how construction projects are delivered and the NEC family of contracts. It gives a brief description of the requirement for planning from a contractual perspective, and why good planning and the ‘Accepted Programme’ are at the heart of NEC contracts and serve the interests of both parties.
