Question – Dr Filipe Vieira, ATM, Dubai: At that site, the wave heights are very highly correlated with a surge. You tested the LAT; did you consider or discuss testing LAT plus surge – or was that was not an option?

Answer – Toby Barnett: We didn’t test it on the basis that these were the design conditions that were actually set. And we considered that the full wave at LAT would be very conservative, because the probability of having the 100 year design wave with no storm surge, and at LAT, which happens very rarely, would already give us some over design.
