Question - Caroline Barford, Costal Partners: There are a number of UK locations with similar defence arrangements. Has this modelling been used on sea dykes outside of Belgium?
Answer – Vincent Gruwez: It’s applicable anywhere you have such a similar setup. I’m focusing on Belgium because I’m from Belgium. Anywhere where you have a non-impermeable dyke with a sandy or rocky foreshore it would be applicable.
Question - Stephen Richardson, HR Wallingford: I think your results are slightly better than you’re giving yourself credit for in relation to the paper. You said a number of times that this wasn’t a calibrated model, and then at the end you suggested that the way to improve it would be to calibrate the offshore conditions. So, have you gone away and done that, and did it show an improvement in the results?
