Online STEM learning for elementary grade levels has proven to be particularly challenging due to technological access, equity in the curriculum, and the needs of learners to be supported through Social Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies. This chapter aims to provide an understanding of the impacts of: (a) digital redlining and the development of equitable online STEM curriculum, (b) considerations in the development of inclusive online STEM curriculum, with the areas of cultural representation, supporting language development, neurodiverse needs, and (c) a survey of how to humanize student-level supports with an account of SEL and its role in elementary STEM curriculum.
