A comparison of the topics discussed by anglophone teachers from Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta while watching videos of their own teaching reveals some differences that may warrant further study. Differences were also observed in the topics discussed directly after watching the videos and during discussions at other times. Two teaching related topics were discussed more often in Ontario and Alberta than in Quebec, and two topics related to learning and to the institution of schooling were discussed more often in Quebec than in the other two regions. Three different topics related to learning and to the institution of schooling were discussed more often in Ontario than in the other two regions. These results are only indicative but suggest directions for additional study.
