The following chapter covers those in a managerial role, from front line supervisor through senior executive need to reflect on their effectiveness and what today’s workforce is expecting. If they believe they are effective, does this align with how their teams perceive them. If they are truly being effective, how do they know? And if they don’t know, why not? While an individual in a managerial capacity needs to both manage and lead, I have found many more managing and few leading. As you read this chapter truly reflect and consider ways to confirm your perception on your effectiveness as not just a manager, but a leader.
