Beyond the protections offered by data protection legislation such as the GDPR for Europe, this particular option proposes a Code of ethical workplace monitoring that would focus on the sound monitoring of workers via technological means. The analysis suggests a list of requirements that aim at addressing the non-legal challenges of workplace monitoring.
