In this study, the structural behavior of an old reinforced concrete arch bridge was studied, and retrofitting of the bridge was carried out. Firstly, field inspection (inclusive of test of material properties, static and dynamic tests of the bridge) was performed on the old reinforced concrete bridge. Based on the field experimental results, the present state of the bridge was evaluated. A retrofitting scheme was determined, and the bridge was retrofitted. Finally, a field inspection was executed on the retrofitted bridge. Field experimental results achieved from the un-retrofitted and retrofitted bridge are compared. It is concluded that the structural behavior of the retrofitted bridge has been improved significantly.
