This chapter focused on modelling sustainable urban transformation (SUT) in developing countries, using Ghana as a case study. The research employed inferential statistics, specifically exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), to identify and validate critical factors influencing SUT. Structural equation modelling (SEM) with AMOS software was utilized in assessing the model fit and the relationships between latent constructs. The study identified key constructs such as leadership commitment (LC), good governance principles (GGP), green economy (GE), built environment (BE), cultural identity (CI), urban stakeholder management (USM), and historical antecedents (HAs) in SUT in developing countries. The model fit was assessed through final measurement models, correlated error variance terms, and standardized factor loadings, ensuring the indicators are appropriate for the latent constructs. The results highlighted the importance of these constructs in achieving sustainable urban development in Ghana, offering valuable insights for policymakers and urban planners to address urbanization challenges in developing countries.
