Paul Jones is Deputy Director of the International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship and Professor in Entrepreneurship at Coventry University with over 24 years’ experience in the university sector. Professor Jones is an active researcher in the entrepreneurship discipline with in excess of 200 research outputs including edited books, academic journals, book chapters and conference papers. He has published his research in journals such as the ‘International Small Business Journal’, ‘Omega’ and ‘Journal of Business Research’. Professor Jones has published research in information communication technology usage, entrepreneurship and small business management and entrepreneurship education. Professor Jones is Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Management Education. He has guest edited special issues with Education + Training, International Journal of Management Education, Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, Strategic Change and the Journal of Systems and Information Technology. Professor Jones is also Vice President (Research) for the Institute of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Professor Jones is a Visiting Professor at Anglia Ruskin and Manchester Metropolitan University’s.

Gideon Maas is Director of the International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship at Coventry University. Gideon has created several entrepreneurship centres, developed and implemented undergraduate and post-graduate modules and programmes in enterprise and entrepreneurship. Recently, Gideon created the African Institute for Transformational Entrepreneurship assisting African countries in supporting sustainable socio-economic growth. Gideon’s current research focus is in entrepreneurship, open innovation, growth strategies, entrepreneurial universities, implementation of entrepreneurial systems and family businesses. His research activities are industry and academic related and has published many books and articles. Previously, he was Director of Futures Entrepreneurship Centre and Professor in Entrepreneurship at Plymouth University; Director of the Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship at Coventry University; owner-manager of a consulting company; the first International Chair in Entrepreneurship in South Africa; Acting Dean and Head of Department at PE Technikon; Head Centre for Entrepreneurship at the Stellenbosch University Business School; and Economist at the First National Development Corporation (Namibia). He was the principal researcher and author of the 2006 and 2007 South African Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Reports. He is a Visiting Professor at Anglia Ruskin University and Vice President (Policy and Practice) of the Institute of Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Luke Pittaway is the Copeland Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Ohio University (Athens, OH). He also holds a senior leadership role within the Department of Management including scheduling, junior faculty mentoring and area coordination for entrepreneurship programs and new programme development. He was formerly the William A. Freeman Distinguished Chair in Free Enterprise and the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Learning and Leadership at Georgia Southern University where he managed programs in entrepreneurship until May 2013. Dr. Pittaway’s research focuses on entrepreneurship education and learning and he has a range of other interests including: entrepreneurial behaviour; networking; entrepreneurial failure; business growth and corporate venturing. He is currently a Director at Large at the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and on the editorial board of the International Small Business Journal.
