“MEASUEEMEOTS ON SILOS”

Prof* K. Cederwall (Chalmers University of Technology, Goteborg) said that Mr. Askegaard had stated that pressure was very dependent on imperfections in the silos and asked if he could give details of the magnitude of imperfections.

Mr. Askegaard replied that they varied enormously from silo to silo. The two extremes they had encountered had been about 1 mm in an area of 2 sq. meters for the "perfect11 silo and about 25 mm in about ^ sq. meter for the soya bean silo described in his paper.
