1. The author has chosen to redirect our focus from a distortion of technical parameters associated with power plant construction to one of communication of issues with the public. He suggests that the technical issues in question have been well documented within the engineering society but have not been communicated in total to the public. The public have become more sophisticated in their understanding and in their questions. The engineering society must now respond to the several issues on which the public
The author has not suggested how the required communication may be best instituted and accomplished. One approach would have all electrical power companies and agencies initiate education programs through their existing public relations programs; coordinated through the associations which these organizations have formed. This is the challenge to you, the representatives of the engineering society.
