Abstract
Companies face unprecedented opportunities and challenges as the Metaverse continues to evolve into a dynamic and pervasive digital space. The intersection of the supply chain and the Metaverse highlights the transformative impact of traditional business models. This study aims to elaborate on the transformative potential of the Metaverse to optimize processes, enhance transparency, and embrace digital transparency as an integral part of the supply chain processes.
The Metaverse is a virtual shared space changing the patterns how supply chain professionals connect with stakeholders, manage resources, and optimize operations.
For the current study, a qualitative methodology was used. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and observation. The semi-structured interviews allowed the participants to share their views, while observations provided real-time information.
It has been observed from the study that developing and training the supply chain professionals are significant in order to navigate the twists and turns of the Metaverse. Metaverse has allowed organizations to simulate the challenges in the supply chain, evaluate the resilience, and enable organizations to come up with contingency plans.
Integrating blockchain technology and the Metaverse of augmented reality, supply chain professionals can create an immutable, real-time record of every transaction and movement of goods. The supply chain becomes flexible and responsive by adopting these measures. It is important to emphasize the importance of growing an educated workforce about the use of Metaverse.
