Abstract
The packaging industry is under perpetual pressure to improve the durability of its goods from a variety of participants, particularly lawmakers, news outlets, and users. Although inexpensive goods, throughout its limit, and elevated expenses for expenditures materials continue to be major issues, the question arises whether “sustainable packaging” should be the primary focus for upper management. This issue not only impacts the packaging industry but also influences the broader business sector, prompting inevitable changes in packaging strategies.
To effectively address sustainability concerns, packaging firms must engage in discussions with stakeholders that are informed by a comprehensive understanding of both technical and economic considerations across the value chain. The packaging industry's susceptibility to volatile raw material prices, sector overcapacity, and customer price sensitivity is no less significant than its response to the increasing demand for environmentally friendly packaging.
This paper aims to explore how the demand for sustainable packaging can be addressed within the broader context of managing various business challenges inherent in this fiercely competitive sector.
