Abstract
The hospitality sector is currently experiencing a profound shift, fueled by the growing desire for tailored customer experiences and the rapid advancement of digital technologies. In this landscape, two powerful tools have emerged as game-changers for hotels and resorts: blockchain technology and digital disruption. The decentralized and secure nature of blockchain holds tremendous potential for bolstering data security, facilitating seamless transactions, and promoting trust and transparency within the hospitality industry. Concurrently, digital disruption, propelled by data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), empowers hospitality providers to gain deeper insights into customer preferences, offer personalized services, and craft customized loyalty programs.
By harnessing the synergies between blockchain and digital disruption, the hospitality industry can not only enhance customer trust and loyalty but also streamline operations, reduce expenses, and gain a competitive advantage in the market. Nonetheless, the integration and adoption of these cutting-edge technologies present challenges that must be addressed. Concerns surrounding data privacy, regulatory compliance, and the need for staff training and change management are just a few of the obstacles to overcome.
