The study addresses the concept of digital transformation and smart city management as vital factors in enhancing the quality of life in modern cities. Successful experiences of various cities around the world, such as Zurich, Oslo, Canberra, Copenhagen, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, demonstrate how technological innovations contribute to improving government services, enhancing communication between governments and citizens and increasing the efficiency of resource utilisation.
The study highlights the importance of sustainable development strategies, such as renewable energy projects, improving transportation infrastructure and implementing advanced monitoring systems to enhance security and safety in cities. Despite these achievements, the study points to the necessity of effectively implementing these strategies, which requires cooperation between governments, the private sector and civil society to achieve digital transformation goals.
The recommendations also include raising awareness of the benefits of digital transformation, developing sustainable strategies and providing technical support to cities seeking to improve their services and adopt best technological practices. In conclusion, the study calls for investing in digital infrastructure and technology, which enhances competitiveness and contributes to providing a better urban experience for citizens within the framework of sustainable development.
