Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents great potential for transforming education worldwide. This research aims to explore the use of AI technologies through discussing the opportunities and challenges of implementing AI technologies within educational institutions. Moreover, this research proposes a unique integration of three theoretical frameworks such as the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Technology Readiness Index (TRI), and Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory to examine the acceptance of AI technologies within educational institutions. Additionally, this research employs a secondary literature review methodology, analyzing 103 scholarly articles published between 1989 and 2024 from reputable databases. Furthermore, the research provides theoretical and practical implications that highlight the necessity of integrating the TAM, the TRI, and DOI theory, offering insights for decision-makers to implement AI effectively within educational institutions.
