Kyle Abbott is a PhD student in Public Policy at the University of North Car- olina at Chapel Hill. His research interests include public finance, school choice, school finance, and the effectiveness of educational reforms. He has previously published descriptive work on the North Carolina school funding mechanism. Prior to attending UNC, he served as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Appropriations Committee in the Kansas House of Representatives.
J. Cameron Anglum is an Assistant Professor of Education Policy and Equity in the School of Education at Saint Louis University. At SLU he is an Affili- ated Faculty member at the Policy Research in Missouri Education Center and a Research Institute Fellow. In addition, he is an Emerging Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Institute for Urban Research. In 2018 An- glum was a recipient of a National Academy of Education/Spencer Disserta- tion Fellowship and the Association for Education Finance and Policy New Scholar Award. His research and teaching concentrate on the economics of education policy and education finance, work which is centered on the study of policy and program effects witnessed by disadvantaged students and the school districts and governments that serve them. In particular, he examines equity considerations in school resource provision, teacher labor market dynamics, and how public opinion shapes education policy. Anglum received his PhD and MSEd in education policy and BA in economics, all from the University of Pennsylvania.
