This chapter explores gender equity in schools in Haiti. We consider research that has been completed both within Haiti and in other fragile and challenging contexts which gives insight into gender equity in Haiti. Using a narrative inquiry approach, we offer a descriptive overview of 2 initiative we have been involved within Haiti to provide educational opportunities for girls in Haiti.The concluding section raises questions and ideas for further research on gender and education in Haiti and how gender equity willcontribute to a stronger public-school system in Haiti.
