First page of eService-Learning and the Future

This book has provided good information about new developments in the eService-learning world. From discussions of issues to models and examples of new and current programs, we have had a chance to see how eServicelearning is changing. The direction seems positive, but there appear to be many issues and “bumps” along the road to expansion and development. We will try to capture the new understandings and present some of the future issues that appear to be coming our way.

The early chapters focus on how technology and the internet have changed life in schools and in our daily lives. While the information shared frames how things have changed and how educational institutions are responding to these new conditions, we begin to see examples of what learning and specifically, eService-learning, looks like in these new environments. We are introduced to some of the basic issues for the field, including use of terminology to describe the kind and nature of e-learning, and a new need to examine how students learn using various electronic approaches.
