Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs) are considered the more challenging aspect of the Three-Dimensional Learning for science teachers to teach. This chapter describes some insights about teaching with the CCCs gained from research and classroom experiences. We also share resources that we found helpful in online learning environments. Therefore, our recommendations in this chapter are relevant for both face-to-face and online teaching contexts. We describe an example science lesson sequence that consistently uses a focal CCC as a tool to explore an interesting phenomenon and support their engagement in scientific practices and learning of disciplinary core ideas.
