The research Literacy Teacher Educators: Their Backgrounds, Visions, and Practices which includes 28 literacy/English teacher educators (LTEs) in four countries (Canada, United States, England, and Australia) is studying indepth their backgrounds, pedagogies, and practices. The specific questions that guided this aspect of the study were:
Identifying the turning points and how they influenced their pedagogies may help the field of teacher education, in particular how to incorporate rich field experiences into teacher education in a meaningful way. Focusing on the lives of teacher educators, this chapter begins with a general discussion of research on teacher educators then moves to the importance of story followed by the findings and discussion.
