This chapter explores the experiences of a faculty member who was homeschooled periodically during youth. The work takes an autoethnographic approach to sharing a unique academic journey and analyzing prior learning experiences via the lens of the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. model of parental academic engagement. This scholarship contributes to filling a gap in research on an understudied group: Formally homeschooled adult professionals.
