This chapter presents an exploratory analysis on how three groups of teachers perceive their own and other’s practices while actively teaching fractions in the classroom. The different ways to represent a fraction and how those representations support students’ understanding were discussed among the three groups of teachers. The analysis of these discussions provides insights into what is important for the teachers in relation to teaching and learning fractions. It also points to the different knowledges that teachers lean on during the teaching of fractions.
