Chapter 11: Marching Forward

Quinetta, Eden, and I thought it would be a nice break (for both author and reader) to compile a series that diverged from the typical volume of research-based chapters. Instead, we wanted to create a unique compilation on gender that includes scholars’ responses to four different questions: (a) “How did you get involved in conducting gender-related research?”; (b) “What gender-related research makes you most proud?”; (c) “What advice do you have for gender researchers?”; and (d) “What do you believe are ‘hot topics’ for future gender researchers?” I specifically chose to contribute to this volume as both an editor and an author because gender issues have played a prominent role in my life, both personally and professionally. So, I willingly share myjourney, perspective, and advice.
