Third World countries are in need; in need of financial support, democracy, and sustainable development. But they are in need of environmental education (EE) too. One wonders how a poor country can have “space” for environmental concerns when people must deal with poverty. The answer lies in EE as the tool to improve the quality of life, to offer solutions to everyday problems, and to make use of the country’s potential toward the way forward. This chapter will indicate how EE can be used versus each environmental problem Cuba faces and will argue that Cuba too is in need of EE.
