First page of Sensitivity

“Watch the stitching, and see your bat hit the ball,” I recall from a high school friend trying desperately to help me with my batting self-esteem issue. Had I ever been aware of the stitching before? Yes, I was aware that baseballs and softballs were stitched together. There are a couple of effective cues to get an untrained player to hit a stinking ball. As I reflect, these rules of thumb have also applied to my life. To see the stitching when it matters most is to look at nothing else but the thread, and to see the stitching is to always know what is coming at you.
