This chapter deals with the issue of the complex management of standards and regulations in the financial sector. Our objective is to illustrate the fact that standards can be anticipated, managed and negotiated. They require a clear positioning of the governance of financial institutions, but also a real and daily involvement of management and operational staff. The chapter addresses this issue through case studies in the French financial sector.
