The contribution questions the edge of management specializations, and more particularly that of management control. The latter is in fact the result of a paradoxical convergence between multiple technical imperatives and a global organizational vision. This paradox could be extended to the whole of management and, consequently, invite a decompartmentalized conception of research, teaching, and practices in this field.
