This chapter discusses how a professional development school (PDS) partnership was developed from a professional development program. The overall goal of the partnership was threefold: (a) to increase best practices by training inservice teachers; (b) to improve preservice training by having teacher candidates complete clinical work at a school where teachers use and model best practices that match what they learn in their university courses; and (c) to improve student achievement by having inservice teachers using the best practices possible and by having more adults (both inservice and preservice teachers) knowledgeable about teaching.
