Chapter 2: Curriculum Development And Teacher Training In The Sultanate Of Oman

I retired as a Saskatchewan educator in June 1996, after 32 very rewarding years in education, 29 in Saskatchewan classrooms and 3 with the provincial Department of Education on a secondment. As I was in excellent health, the question arose as to what I might do to keep active in the coming years now that I had retired from active educational participation. In December 1996, I received a call from an educational consulting company in Toronto who had contacted all provincial ministries of Education looking for possible overseas consultants. Sask Ed personnel had given them my name (and possibly the names of others).
