There is little debate about the central role of administrators in supporting standards-based mathematics curriculum adoption and implementation. Several chapters in this volume clearly demonstrate the importance of strong administrative support and leadership. However, it is also recognized that the people who most need to be involved in supporting curriculum adoption and implementation are the ones who often have the least amount of time and knowledge to devote to the task.
In this chapter, we describe a workshop aimed at providing minimal key information about curriculum adoption and implementation to school administrators. It is expected that the reader who is interested in using this workshop will see it as a beginning and tailor it to their local needs.
