First page of Uses for Web 2.0 Tools in Instructional Settings

Throughout the years education has undergone many changes. Educators strive to keep up with new pedagogical practices, changing student behavior and technologies. The World Wide Web has greatly increased the speed at which technology has changed the way students learn and provided new opportunities for incorporating active learning into instruction. Many instructors are using Web 2.0 tools for in-person and online settings. While many of these tools are accessible and easy to use, one must be careful that the technologies being used are improving learning for students. Educators now find themselves in an environment where, more than ever, technologies can be harnessed to provide new learning environments to meet students’ diverse learning styles.
