First page of Designing Professional Development to Support Teachers’ Tpack and Integration of Web 2.0 Technologies

The myriad of Web 2.0 technologies that are currently being developed and distributed are impossible to keep up with (Hedberg & Brudvik, 2008). Educational technology resources, such as magazines, blogs and repositories of Web 2.0 tools are updating their lists of tools daily in order to keep up with the technological developments and advancements. These technologies allow teachers and students with Internet access to locate, organize and generate knowledge in robust ways, and hold the potential to greatly change traditional modes of teaching and learning (e.g., Alexander, 2008; O’Reilly, 2005; Hedberg & Brudvick, 2008; International Society for Technology in Education [ISTE] , 2007).
