Susan Swars Auslander, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Georgia State University. She teaches mathematics content courses for practicing teachers studying to be Elementary Mathematics Specialists and mathematics methods courses for prospective teachers. Her research focuses on teacher development, emphasizing mathematical beliefs and knowledge.

Christine A. Browning, PhD, is a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Mathematics at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Christine is interested in developing mathematics curriculum for preservice elementary/middle school teachers that (a) makes appropriate use of digital tools and (b) incorporates artifacts of children’s thinking.
